St. Louis, MO – Watlow®, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of complete thermal systems, recently announced that Damon Ground will join the company as chief marketing officer (CMO). He will report directly to Peter Desloge, Watlow’s CEO, and be a member of the executive team.
As CMO, Ground will help define, attract, plan and support Watlow’s customers, strategic markets and products. He will also be responsible for working with executive team members to shape the overall direction of the company.
“Damon is a strong leader who has a proven track record of developing and leading company growth and product plans,” said Desloge. “His mastery in strategic marketing and product management, as well as his progressive ideas for communications and branding, will allow us to take the next step to achieve our vision and goals.”
Ground began his career in engineering at 3M, and then Hutchinson Technology, Inc., where he spent a significant amount of time building his marketing expertise in several progressive roles. He then joined TSI, Inc., where he led the global marketing function including product management, marketing management and marketing communications. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
